Writing about music is like dancing about architecture

Music 2 & IB Skill Check by Corin Bone on Grooveshark

Hello Music 2 girls! sorry I'm sick. First, please subscribe to this blog. Then do the activity (you will need headphones) and leave your answers as comments. I'll be checking them from home and possibly responding during your lesson. Looking forward to telling you all about your adventures for this year tomorrow. But first, a little taster. Here are 6 pieces of music, paintings and buildings from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th century periods. Match the 6 musical excerpts to the 6 paintings and to the 6 buildings below. Give reasons (musical reasons!).

Have a guess at which periods each of the pieces come from. How can you tell?
